RecycleMania 2011 begins

WUSTL’s top 11 percent finish in last year’s RecycleMania competition was impressive, but the Office of Sustainability is challenging WUSTL to finish even higher in the 2011 RecycleMania contest, which lasts eight weeks and ends April 2. RecycleMania 2011 pits WUSTL against other colleges and universities to see which campus can keep the greatest amount of waste materials from landfills. FULL STORY

  • Volunteer opportunity at Tsinghua University in Beijing. WUSTL faculty members and graduate and undergraduate students have an opportunity to volunteer for three weeks this summer at one of China’s premier universities, Tsinghua University in Beijing. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, Feb. 15. The goal of the three-week camp, beginning June 22, is to teach and expose Chinese undergraduate students to the English language and American culture.
